Feels like -6°C
We're sitting at -2 this Tuesday afternoon, but that east wind is making it feel more like -6, so bundle up if you're heading out. Tonight we'll drop to a chilly -16, then climb back to the freezing mark tomorrow with slightly warmer overnight lows around -10. Overcast skies are sticking around through Wednesday, but at least we're staying dry.
This week brings quite the temperature rollercoaster for our Valley community, starting with some of the coldest lows we've seen in a while. After bottoming out at -16°C Wednesday morning, we'll see a gradual warming trend through mid-week, though overcast skies will persist. Things get interesting Friday as our first real precipitation arrives with light snow and a 54% chance of flakes flying - perfect timing if you're hoping for a white weekend. Saturday delivers the week's wildcard with a dramatic warm-up to 12°C, but that temperature swing comes with freezing rain concerns as warm air overrides the cold surface. Sunday and Monday look much more pleasant for any outdoor training or river activities, with highs around 7-11°C and minimal precipitation chances. Those planning weekend activities should definitely keep Saturday's icy conditions in mind, while Sunday and Monday offer the week's best windows for getting outside.
